Have a friend that installed a CR-1 I sold to him. He says that when it was wired up it came on. Lit up. "COdE" came on. Input the code then it shut off but is still lit up with the backlight.

Any help would be great. The radio worked just fine when it was pulled out.

Could anyone note that this may be the reason rearing its head that caused his first one to go bad? Wiring foul???
