some more intercooler ****, I'm not going to bother cleaning up the weld seams at this point until I do more testing. I know it looks restrictive where the end tanks merge but it has a greater cross section than the throttle body. If anyone uses floworks or other CFD software i could benefit from a flow analyzes for the next one.

a pair of core are used on the 997.2 @620 hp, I'm using three cores, so I would safely guess over 620. I have a bit of work to do to prove how well it works. I need a track mule

^^ Timing is everything ... or nothing. I get almost unlimited time at Monticello, and at 3+ miles it would be a good venue. Unfortunately it just closed for the season. Reopens in late April/early May.

With the NA centre section to reverse the throttle body, where/how is the MAF/air filter relocated? or does your engine not use a MAF?

currently I'm using a cone filter attached to the Maf. I will fab an air box with a 14"x6" panel filter, this setup can be used without too much hassle. One has to change center section, reconfigure some plumbing, I'm using a in line blower to replace the heater/ blower, works great and half the size,I still need to fab an air box, I mocked one up from cardboard.

Basel skull, it was your DIY intercooler thread and data logging that inspired me to build an intercooler. thanks for posting your results. this set up would require about 8 hrs of engine prep before you could bolt up the intercooler.

cool. was wondering about the plastic blower, would love to see pics of that too. I might look at the centre section to see if it's something I can fab as well. I don't have your skills or the equipment but as you know I like tinkering and learned very young that I can do most things if I put my mind to it... I've been running out of projects and will consider the 3 front to back cores that you, and Sonny1 (and Spartan I believe is working on one) fit. Although my engine doesn't need it! great work!

I think you'd have a surprising amount of interest in a group buy if you put together a package of intercooler, airbox and centre section (na or custom).

200 mph on stock tranny? I raised the question before on the Ruf Turbo R, I've seen pics & looks like 7k rpm's right at 200 mph, tire diameter can help as well. In first pic it looks like OBC says 200.

First pic is mine, I think it's to do with tyre/wheel sizes. My tranny gears and R&P are stock but I run 225/40 fronts on 9" rims and 285/30 rears on 11" rims so the stock tyres are stretch out over the 1" wider wheels which gives a slightly lower circumference. My rev limiter is set at 7060rpm and the real GPS top speed there is about 196mph IIRC

The last pic is pretty impressive with speedo 200+mph with only 0.8 bar boost.

Here was what Car magazine maxed a stock 408PS car at back in '97
