Default 97 993TT "S" sells on Mecum

Sold for $111K. Horrible green exterior color.

Still, nice to see market forces at work valuing our cars.

Somebody messed with the engine, or at least added a non-oem intercooler. That could have impacted the price as many of these buyers are collectors. Just a thought.

Don't like the color. Also interesting to see the miles noted as "Believed to be 29704 actual miles"

i still think that's a banging price. and i actually like the color combo. i've seen 2 cars in this color combo and it's very reserved/sophisticated combo IMO.

With the intercooler you have to wonder how it was used/driven. The color is a little funky but the nice rear wheel arch vents make up for it :-) I would just assume look for a really nice Turbo (non-s, hard back seats, pts, gauge color, sun roof delete - all the stuff I didn't get)

So Mecum vetted the car as a legitimate Turbo S then? What about all this b.s.?

Well, no, it would be Mecum's legal responsibility to represent the car accurately at auction to avoid cancelled sales and lawsuits .... why would a professional auto auction house with a solid reputation like Mecum misrepresent this car?

Default ? legit ?

something is not right here, if that car is a legit real S (modified cooler or not) should have sold for a LOT more.... if legit, buyer got a steal....I think the green is actually nice looking....

Here's Mecum's legal caveat at the bottom of the auction description ... I don't think it would hold water in a dog fight over a vin number swap that would compel a buyer to spend $40K plus comissions over retail though. Anybody who physically inspected the car could verify all three vin numbers were in place and matching, take down the engine serial number and call PCNA and verify it all in a few minutes ... just sayin.

Car was NOT an S, that's why it sat at the Sh*tbag dealer in Chicago & was not sold, so he dumped it & it wound up there, we'll here about it again unless it's pawned off outside US.
