In HKD. HK$988k (about USD126k) for a 993 turbo. For comparison, the brand new Boxster S in HK would cost about HK$1.1m (about US$150k).

the high price is primarily due to high government taxes on automobiles.

Thanks. I've had several mates use them and quite good feedback but almost as pricey as Jebsen was the comment. Gemballa is closer but nobody I know has used them much.

Yeah. Ended up taking the plunge. She checked out clean overall. Been ragging the sh*t out of her in the mountain roads here for a few weeks. My kids immediately named it "Bumble Bee". Got it in with RAT now for new tyres and shocks. I'll post some pics soon

Yes please post...would love to see it in person one day! Is this the one with a black interior or the one with grey/tan interior?

BTW not sure what you are doing with regards to shock replacement, but highly recommend the KWv3 if budget allows...last I checked RAT was charging ~27k installed.

It's the black interior. Lets go out for a run someday.

Thanks for the recommend on kw. I was seriously considering. I don't know what oem cost is in comparison. I asked RAT to give me a few options.

I find the suspension a bit mushy but I haven't driven a 993 in probably ten years. . Not a fair comparison but I was surprised that a mate's 964 and my old man's 997 Turbo S is much tighter on a washboard surface with Pasm dialed in.

I know one other yellow TT here- never seen the interior... I'll have to ask her when I see her next.

Thanks. Good call on the recommend for RAT. I wasn't sure because the guy I talked with for the PPI, Dave had left and a couple mates said they've raised their prices for some stuff.

Overall they're pretty darn competent as I'm finding- I said there was some random rattle on the passenger side and asked them to spend a little screwdriver and spanner time. They had it sorted out quick.

Glad to hear that RAT is taking good care of your car. Do you know who worked on your car?

I think Chu is the younger shorter guy who is really good with engines. He took a look at the 997 when the dealer said PDK was fine but we heard grinding in first gear at 2500-2800rpm.

I forgot the name of the taller guy with a Brit accent. Both of them were looking her over.
