Curious to hear what the RUF shop in Michigan quoted you for price on this item. PM me if you can.

You can easily switch boots from a 996 ****, or any 6 speed from RUF

I have a RUF Shifter with leather boot I purchased from RUF (recently off my 993) available. I paid $495 USD from RUF + tax and shippiing. My price is $350 shipped within the USA. Note the pictures - there are some scuff marks on the shifter from a ring on my right hand so it's not perfect condition. The boot is as new. I'm sure the shifter could be touched up with minimal effort.
PM if interested.

I should note also that it's just dirt in the actual RUF engraved letters. it wiped right off.

Mick,
I'm glad you got that shifter... it absolutely feels GREAT in the hand. Stick with all Ruf stuff for your car.
I recently added the RS short shifter and Golden Rod (FD Motorsports), and that is another excellent change.
