Default No boost press reading

On a '96 993TT, I am having no boost reading in the dash, although the car has full boost pressure.

I have changed the pressure transmitter with no luck.

The car has a flashed DME by Fabspeed.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Sergio

Come on guys, I was hoping to see a bunch of responses to this one. I've got the same situation. Obvious boost but no read on display. Checked all connections and also replaced boost sending unit.

Check the vacuum lines immediately surrounding the sending unit. There's a connection directly below the pressure sensor that has came off on my car several times, resulting in no boost reading.

The rubber on these cars is getting to the age where many pieces need to be replaced proactively. For a while I kept blowing various vacuum hoses off at the track, and finally I replaced all of the old rubber and hose clamps. No more problems...

Item 27 in this diagram shows the vacuum line that had come loose in my car, resulting in no boost reading. It connects into the same manifold as the pressure transmitter, item 14.

You guys rock. I love the ability to have this community which one can ask for help and get it (when available) and get things fixed. I have immersed myself with all I can, to figure these cars out. I have always done my own work and know that when given proper info. I can do just about anything on my car (to a point). Thank you again "Rennlist" and all who are willing to share their experiences with our wonderful machines. Just goes to show that not all of these cars are owned by Bankers and Lawyers. Take care.

Sorry if anyone was offended. I was not trying to make a disparaging remark. Only pointing out that not all of us can readily afford to take our cars to someone for repairs. I could not afford a major repair and surely couldn't come up with the money for factory service. I do understand why it cost so much especially after changing the plugs
