I am trying to make a set of wheels work and wondering if anybody has experience with a 12" rear on stock fenders. Offesets and tire sizes helpful!
Thank you in advance.

I heard the 996 GT2 wheel in 12" do work but you hve to roll the fender. I have the standard Hollow Spoke 11" 996tt wheel sand they are fine(as you probably know already).
The 996 GT2 wheel isn't hollow so they are heavy.

Hey. I've also run 996 twists and 18x11.5 ET44 Fikses with no issues.
I was drooling over a set of Champion Motorsports RS184s, which are 12" rears. I also saw that a member here had them on a 993TT with 315/25-19s tires. Unfortunately after a tirerack search that tire size is on backorder. I suspect that a wider tire would rub and a narrower tire wouldn't adequately cover the rim.
Long shot...but I am trying! Thanks for the help

Thanks for the info. The best I can figure right now is that a 315/25-19 will fit and the question is if the 12" wheel will get under the fender w/ the correct offset.

Scott,
I've been a bit confused. Is that a photo of the aluminum or the magnesium front? When we had our wheels refinished, I noticed that my alum fronts were about 1/2" wider then your magnesium fronts. I assumed your mags were 8.5", so mine were 9". But... I've been wrong on more than one occasion before. Thanks.

Some 997 GT3 wheels fell into my lap a couple of years ago, and they worked just fine with a 15mm spacer on my 4S. Stock tires, forget the size now. Drove on them off-and-on for maybe 7-8K miles, swapping the snows on the winter of '10-'11 when I was running up the hill every week to go skiing/boarding.
Should be easy enough to figure the offset of that 12", and figure in the spacer to get what would be correct.

Sorry to hi jack your thread, but does anybody know if these will fit on a 993 Turbo? According to seller he said he had them on a 964 with 993 Fenders and fit just fine. Thanks for any feedback.
He recommends the tire size of 315-35-18 and 255-35-18.
