Default Waay off topic..... motorcycle to car?

After 49 1/2 years of riding I have to throw in the towel. I injured my wrist long ago and didn't have it repaired. As a result, I have zero cartilage in my right wrist. It took a long time to degrade to this point, but I am now there. I had to quit sport bikes some time ago to avoid wrist compression. I switched to BMW GS's, Triumph Tigers and finally Harley. I recently had to perform a panic stop to avoid becoming at one with the side of a tractor trailer, the driver of which failed to see my three lights and bright red Aerostitch suit. I thought my hand was going to rip off. I'll keep the Ducati just to look at and listen to, but my days of riding more than a few minutes are over.

My question (finally), is what is the best four wheel motorcycle. It can't have a top. It has to be fast, impractical and beautiful. The cars that come to mind are the Chaterham 7, Superperformance Cobra and replica Speedster with a 180hp VW mtr. The problem for me is that I have only read about these cars. I did know of a guy that built a 427 Cobra kit years ago that was a disaster in the handling department, though it looked and sounded great until it burned to the ground shortly after he completed it.

Does anyone here have any experience with one or more of these cars, or am I missing one I should consider? It probably will never go to the track, just be used to blast around the country roads where I live. My budget is 75K territory but I would be happy to spend much less. Thanks as always.....Chris

Thanks for the response Ian. I did think of the Atom. It absolutely has higher limits than any of the cars that I mentioned. For me it totally misses it in the beautiful department, not to mention that my local constabulary would likely put out an APB when they saw that beast on the road....

I was at a Bombardier dealer recently and really liked their tri-moto sport bikes - they certainly look cool and could give you the visceral experience - with a lot less work..?

If you can get it licensed for the street than Ariel Atom, KTM X-bow or Lotus 2-11 Otherwise, I would say the Exige S is the closest and most affordable "bike on 4 wheels".

Or perhaps a T-Rex or Can-Am Spyder? But maybe the Spyper is not non-bike enough in the controls department but the T-Rex is more car like.

I was going to say the Lotus Exige S too, light weight and looks the part of an exotic without terrible expensive maint. costs because of the Toyota engine
