Default Hello...

Just wanted to introduce myself...I'm finalizing a deal on a Artic Silver 1997 993tt. I'm good to go on my side...just waiting on 30K mile service and copy of title to my finance guy to arrive to finalize the deal...

I can't wait...I had a 1985 Carrera Targa up until 1989...BUT like many here I had a lust affair with the 930 Turbo...I was looking at a new 997tt, 2005 Turbo S, 2010 GT3...but I love the 993tt body style and air cooled cache.

I can't wait...the little kid in me on Christmas day is driving my wife crazy. I'm active on NAGTROC, MBWorld, and 6speedonline and carry the same handle (AMGfan on NAGTROC and MBWORLD and AMGGTRfan on 6speed)...and I recognize some other folks here.

If everything works out, I'll be posting pics of the pickup next week. The several days of trolling has been fun reading...

Jon,

Great choice of automobiles, and welcome aboard. Pictures are required the minute you get your new baby.

You probably have seen it already since the seller is a member here...but I won't name the seller or reveal the car until everything is tied up. I just found out about the availability of the car Friday (from another GTR owner I know from NAGTROC), sent an email to my finance guy @ 11pm Friday night, emailed the owner Sunday, and seller and my finance guy spoke last night...SO it has been a fast couple of days. Once I make a decision it usually goes pretty fast...

Again...I'm excited. This car is one of my bucket list cars...

BTW...the seller has been great to deal with...

SeattleAllroad...yup...caught that on Monday. Also watched the Tiff test drive...

The 993tt will scratch the manual itch I've had for several years...top speed won't be the reason I want it...the fun factor in driving will be...the GTR will take care of anything 200mph and above...

This is a great group. There is more humor here than I would ever have thought. I would never have bought my TT without them. They can figure out more ways to spend your money than you can imagine. I still can't figure out how to post pictures with my new to me Mac but I soon I hope to, otherwise I will be banned!

Solomon...best to just upload image from your Mac to photobucket.com and copy and paste the image url onto your message.

Great way to look at it. A 993TT is plenty fast for most anything street related...of course, since it's a turbo you'll options to scratch the power itch should it arise

AMGFan, congrats on the new 993 Turbo!

Cars above look good, but the white one has, how do I say, a rather SUV ride height
