Audi RS blue though is very similar to VW Jazz blue, a very common VW color at the time.
I've never seen RS Blue in person before, so I am not one to comment. Plus, everything I hear about the RS2 is second hand, so there is always room for error.

If I interject my own "logic" though, it seems like they would have lifted the color from the Porsche color wheel (maritime or otherwise). It seems like Riviera would be too light, but maybe Mexico Blue? VW's Jazz Blue makes sense too (of course). Are you sure it was a stand alone color?

Hehe.

If you see the two colors live you will notice the difference. I'm not a paint expert but Mexico blue is too light and of the Porsche colors Maritime is definately the one closest to Audi RS blue. There is one factory 993 GT2 that has been pictured here on the board from time to time that was delivered from the factory in PTS/Special order "Audi RS blue". So one has to think that it's not a porsche color. I think the VW Jazz blue is the same color though so they did use it in the VW/Audi world. Maybe even on Seat as well which is a spanish car brand owned by the same orginaisation. The Bugatti color pictured in this thread looks almost identical to the Audi RS blue, but it's tough to judge just from a picture on a forum . A friend of mine works in the paint industry so it would be cool just for fun if I asked him for the Glasurit paint ingredients. They one would know right away what the differences are .

The Bugatti blue is 'hair' darker than the Audi RS2 blue.

I will get some more pics of this 993 and post them

It's undergoing a RUF makeover. Should be ready in a week or two.

Wonderful car!

Are you sure it's blue turquoise L3AS?

For reference, this car is blue turquoise. Your looks more like Maritime blau to me, which is also VERY nice .
