One would think. Don't know for sure. In this case $795 was the "destination charge" from Charleston SC (Port of Entry) to Santa Monica, CA. Seems like a x-country deal on transport.

Or even better... from Stuttgart to Santa Monica, CA for $795.

Mine is missing the MSRP info as well. Wonder why?

BLT4SPD - Does your TT really have self dimming mirrors and rain sensor per COA or does your option sticker have XE3 (Dimming Rear-View Mirror)? I didn't think the rain sensor was an option until the 996s.

Strange that some COAs have an MSRP listed and some don't.

I don't think it does. I don't see any "traditional" rain sensors anywhere and no electrical connection to the mirror indicating a self-dimmer.

My hood has been replaced at some time, so my car no longer wears the original option tag.

I had my COA come in last year and there was a mistake with the rain sensor and mirror option. I contacted the email address listed on the letter/booklet and a nice lady called me and told me they'd send a replacement with corrected info. I didn't get the MSRP printed on mine and I don't have the original window sticker. I wonder if a previous owner had ordered the COA and didn't give it over to you and at the time he sent in the window sticker. Now you are ordering a COA and they give you the MSRP? Just a thought but I have no clue why some have MSRP and some don't. Nicely optioned car, BTW, I wanna see some interior shots which include the leather switches!

So, our VIN numbers are, numerically, 295 units apart. Our completion dates are 125 days apart, but only 90 WORK days if I don't count any Saturdays or Sundays in-between 7/27/1995 and 11/29/1995. So, with those numbers, Porsche was averaging 3.277777777 993's per work day.

Well, we can just throw my math from the above post out the window! EntropyChaser993's VIN is actually LOWER than mine (375,258 vs. my 375,512), but his completion date is AFTER mine by almost exactly 2 months.

I guess I always thought/assumed that VIN number would have been numerical for a given assembly line.

That's a head scratcher. Maybe cars going through the Exclusive program (custom order) didn't follow the flow. ??

My COA also shows the self-dimming mirrors and rain sensor but no sign of these options on the car.

Also a very interesting delta $ MSRP on the US / Can cars in those days.

As requested, option XM9. I actually would not have paid attention to the leather if I didn't see it listed as a special option.
