By all means KEEP the 996 turbo. I will gladly (and in all seriousness) take that dated, high mileage, unloved 993 turbo off your hands. Send me a PM if I can HELP you get rid of it.

Have you still not been persuaded yet ? I bet if you asked the little girl in your pictures, even she wouldn't hesitate to pick the 993 over the 996, and I'm guessing she doesn't know much abt cars.. That's just the 993's charm speaking for itself..
The 993 is special and will stand the test of time, whereas the 996, tho certainly accomplished, isn't.. The 996 turbo wiil always be less desirable than the 997 turbo, which in turn will be less desirable than the 991 turbo when it arrives..
You'll likely regret selling the 993, whereas you'll probably be less likely to regret selling the 996.. And if you do then just wait a year or two and treat yourself to a 997tt for similar money.

I would unload the 996, they are great DD, but a dime a dozen and they are still dropping in value. The 993 has taken it's hit long ago, even at those miles it will hold it's value better.
(I would have kept the 930 and sold 'em both, but that's a different story.)
