Default Pedals

Hi,

Deciding between pedals from Sullivan Racing and FVD.

I am looking at the pyramid grid pedals from Sullivan http://www.srpracing.com/surface_finishes.cfm and the pedal with rubber grips at FVD http://www.fvd.de/us/en/Porsche-0/99...__964_993.html.

If anyone has experience with either of these products I would greatly appreciate your feedback. The car is a daily driver and not tracked.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I have the Sullivan pedals, easy install, and feel great. Highly recommended.. I'd take pics, but I'm having the bumperettes painted. Let me know if you have any questions.

Do you have the pyramid? Do you think that it is more advantageous to have one (rubber nubs vs. pyramid grid) over the other?

I have the Rennline pedals - me likey. Much stiffer than stock rubber pedals, so more direct feel; Nice adjustability on the go pedal, to facilitate heel-toe downshifting for those of us without universal joints for ankles.

I prefer the perforations to rubber protrusions - more gription. I also put in the aluminum perforated floorboard, but as someone pointed out, it allows a lot of sand/crap to fall through holes and end up around pedal linkages etc, so I put carpet back in. The stock floorboard is wood and lighter than the Rennline floorboard, so nothing gained.

I have the smooth gas pedal from them...good product. Painted it flat black so it didn't look weird.

Thanks for everyone's feedback.

Is there any disadvantage to switching out from the stock pedals. Will be doing a lot of stop and go.

I seem to be leaning toward the Sullivan anodized black. 993 770, how have you found it to wear? They mention on their website that the black will wear down over time.

I also have the rennline pedals and love them. The FVD website pedals are rennline pedals.

Unfortunatly only put them on about a month ago. So far so good, but I figured I can paint them when necessary or change them out again. Install was pretty easy, and the next time I won't have to drill any holes!

Be aware that leather-soled street shoes on metal pedals are quite slippery..

Or Clown-shoes.... I was wearing a slightly wide shoe first time I used the Rennline pedals and succeeded in stomping on the gas and brake at the same time, which was quite counterproductive :-)
