+++ on what he said. It's like 40lbs on the *** of the car...it's got to be worth something.

I like playing with numbers, so I think it's worth about 5 HP. Here why:

Car is about 3,300 pounds
Car is about 408 HP
That's about 8 pounds per HP (3,300 / 408 = 8.09)

So, when you take off 40 pounds that's equal to about 5 HP (40 pounds / 8 pounds/HP = 5 HP). Can you "feel" a 5 HP gain? No. Only Patrick Long can.

That's my answer, and I'm sticking to it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the FVD idle.

I think that I have decided to go with the Fabspeed Supercup exhaust. After speaking with them it sounds as if I will get less resonance and droning with the supercup opposed the bypass pipes.

I had a set of early Fabspeed mufflers on my cars but took them off. They're now on SFBanchs TT. I prefer the noise of the by passes, he likes the relative quiet of the Fabspeeds... Two completely different sound levels...

The ole confuse-o-forum! WHAT? PARDON? I think those of us starting to lose our hearing really like the bypasses, but others find them too loud. I live in a semi rural area, so the bypasses are great - there is VERY little idling occurring :-). If you do a lot of city driving, loudness might be a little more bothersome. It has to be good to increase air circulation around the motor, so think of bypasses as an ounce of preventive medicine.
