Default Newbie needing advice

Hello all,

Just wanted to take a few seconds to introduce myself to all rennlist members. I been lurking for a 993 TT for the past year and finally pulled trigger and picked up 1997 993 TT from a Rennlist member in NM over the weekend. What a nice long 1100 fun miles drive back to CA. She is black w/gray int.
I am in east bay area 10 miles from bay bridge. Anyone in here can recommend a good shop to have my oil change done?

Thanks

Congrats. Great job taking the road trip to become one with the Turbo. Pics, please!

I think you bought the Turbo we talked about here:

*Please change/fix those exhaust tips.

Oakton, what oil are you going to use? May I suggest Mobil One V-Twin 20W50. Read here:

Do NOT use 5-50 in an air-cooled engine. If you want to use Mobil One, use 15-50. I also use the Mobil One V-Twin 20-50.

I haven't had any problems at Pacific Power Motorsports in Concord and Scargo in San Rafael. I used to do it myself, but just had the defective oil filter thing happen, so I may have done my last one. I'm sure Valhalla in Lafayette could handle it as well.

I can recommend a GREAT shop: FD Motorsports. They are not too far from you (but not too close either), but well worth any drive. It would be smart to let them give the car a good look-over while they change the oil. They are sponsors of this site. Look them up... Mark & Darin. Really good guys.

Don't pay retail, ask around on here or 993 Forum. See if anyone has some they would let go of.

If you don't find some here, buy from FD Motorsports. Great prices, guys.
