993 NA turbo swap

Unless you have some unnatural tie to the NA then sell it and buy a real TT. It will save you a lot of money now and in the future. It will cost at least the delta between two like cars (NA/TT) to do the conversion, then you are left with an un-sellable NA with a turbo engine.
Buy a timeshare instead, even that is a better investment than this endeavor.

I figure I would be in it for $10-$15k. My motor has 35k so it would pull a nice penny. There are 2 turbo motors on eBay complete with wireharness and dme for around $20k.
I'm just trying to figure out if it's a relatively easy swap or a nightmare.
I don't think I can buy a TT for 10-15 more than the value of mine.

Well....as I told another poster on the 964 forum Rennlist isn't exactly the place to get guidance for
modifications that require thinking out of the box...( JMHO)
if the car is something you've modded and certainly plan on holding on to for some time I think it may be one of the ultimate upgrades!
A lot of guys me included are opting to delete the front pumpkin for more steering feel and performance
driving..
I don't think you'd run into any real difficulties with the swap as long as you included the engine and
ECU harness and brain.Otherwise it bolts right up!
It will fit perfectly just add spoiler and away you go,certainly you may take a hit on resale but to tell you
the truth who couldnt appreciate that upgrade?

I am not a reference with respect to caring about resale value of my cars, if you are concerned about value, don't do it obviously, or simply keep your N/A engine at home and swap back when you want to sell.. You can sell a stock TT engine in good condition anytime! And they will be rarer and more expensive with time, so actually a stock engine is an investment at this stage. I have seriously considered buying and stocking a few of them for the next 10 years, the other night in my sleep
Dropping a TT engine is a great mod for someone who wants increased torque, better than any hybrid engine modification (SC or turbocharge a N/A engine etc..)
