I got dusted today by a Vette
I realize the general contempt around here for anything that resembles a machismo laced interaction on a public road, so I won't divulge any details. However, I did find that my poor stock 993TT didn't fare very well against two more cylinders (and at least an aftermarket exhaust) in the pushrod variety attached to a C6 Vette.
Makes me think a bit more about a UMW upgrade instead of this 996TT. It's funny how quick a car feels until something much quicker comes along!

Oh well! Like you said, there's always a faster car out there.

What does it matter! Your car is one of the best looking cars ever made.
Enjoy your car for what it is. Plus it is a very fast car compared to most.
Porsches are just fun to drive.....

my wife and I are honorary members of the local vette club (i work with all of them on post so we get invited to all of the runs)...A LOT of the guys have taken what appear to be plain jane bodies with badging and done ungodly things to the engine...so what may have appeared to been a stock C6, could have actually have been a 700+ hp N/A beast...trust me, they are out there waiting to take on the next unsuspecting victim...so dont feel bad
