#31
Hi guys! Quick update: car is sold and I am its 3rd proud owner! Test drive was a blast and I can't wait for it to arrive In NYC. My next project is to find some (genuine if possible) RUF bumpers. Pm if anyone has spares (!)
Thanks all for the input / comments which helped determine my purchase.

Congratulations!
Glad to hear that it's really off the market. My wife will be very happy to hear that the temptation is off the market and all the way on the other side of the country.

Thanks for the notes guys - not many pics as of yet but for the ones of the ad - will post a few. I will unfortunately not get the car for another month but will post more pics as soon as I get it. By the way, if you have suggestions for reputable car transportation companies, I am getting a few quotes as we speak. Will gladly take recommendations.
The car was converted by Weissach in Dec 2004 when it had ~63k miles (pretty extensive work and $60k worth of invoice documented - also confirmed by Weissach directly). Ruf in Germany also confirmed they sent a conversion kit to Weissach at that time. Since conversion, car was barely driven (4k miles in 7 years). Hope that changes when I get it!
Seattle Allroad, I will make sure to contact you if I ever sell it ;-)

Steve, I added my car to the bottom of the list in the RUF Registry post.
Javier, the pictures and videos of your car were a pretty important factor in this purchase (!)
Thx,
Marin

Race Car
That is great news! I am very excited for you. It is an unbelievable machine that you will love more the longer that you have it. As I stated in another string, I am enjoying mine in CO this summer.
There are lots of Turbo R experts and enthusiasts on this board. Steve knows about everything RUF and is a great resource.
You will be amazed - and scared at time - by the power. I suggest you take it easy with the car at the beginning.
I had a good experience a few years ago with DeMoise Trucking.

That is great.I do not have a extra Ruf front bumper but I do have a black euro turbo s bumper cover collection dust in the basement? I had it on my other 993 turbo. Someone bs he'd into it and scratched it, so his insurance bought me a new one. Having a Ruf with a turbo s front? Let me know and when you get your car you should take a ride up the R.I. Coast and get together Bob

Hi Bob - thanks for offer - I will focus on RUF design for now but will keep that in mind depending on how my search is going ... wife loves R.I. So likely a ride in September ... Will keep you posted!

Transport
Congratulations on the new purchase. Very nice looking car.
For transport you may find scheduling will be the deciding factor. I just went through getting quotes to move a car from Texas to New York and Inercity Lines (800.221.3936) had the lowest price and best schedule.
Another company out of Ontario Canada called TFX International (888.415.3158) hauls cross border, within Canada and within the US. I heard they have a contract with Ferrari to move their cars around the US for shows so I'd assume they would take care of your car.
If you are ever in the Ottawa area shoot me a PM as I would love to see your car.
Scott.
