Default Spark plug DIY

I can't believe I couldn't find the answer to this in the search. Do you have to remove the passenger side boost hose to do the plugs? And if so, is there some trick to keeping junk out of the turbo? I've never removed the turbo end of the hoses.

I don't believe its necessary as the hose is pretty flexible, but it makes it easier to get at the rear plug.

Luckily removing that hose is a piece of cake, unlike the drivers side.

Easiest way to keep stuff outta the turbo is just to cover the inlet with a piece of duct tape.

You can also stuff a shop towel in there if you want.

yup, I took it off for plug #6 along with the trap door to remove from below. The other plugs you can get from above but you have to take all the plastic things off. I've only done it once but remember how helpful the door was.
