Default EKS need help

Had the RUF eks system. There was some play in the gear stick and sometimes the gear jumped to free gear on bumpy road. Last weekend tried to do some adjustment. Messed it up. Now can only use r, 1,3 & 5 gears only. 2,4 &6 cannot be engaged. i.e free gears.

Further after disconnecting the sensor in the gear stick, still can engaged t1, 3, &5.

At lost. What to do now?

That is so arcane probably only RUF can help you.

This came up a couple of years ago from a guy in RSA. He'd already called RUF and was told that they'd stopped supporting this product a long time ago. I seem to remember there might have been an indie in London who might have been able to help. I know that's next to useless but it's what I remember. PM felix and see if he remembers anything about this. Good luck.

Another long shot is a guy named Russell Lewis at RSR Engineering in England - I believe he used to work for Ruf GB. Phone number is +44 1428 602911 - no website. You can always try calling Ruf in Germany.

Thanks. Checked with porsche singapore. They installed the system. other option is to remove the system and reinstall the paddle.

There has been an EKS available on eBay for about 100 years. $1995, I think. Might be good to get a spare while they can still be had.

i worked on those systems years ago....but it sounds like you have a linkage problem....its been awhile so having to try to remember....look at the linkage real good, we've been seeing a lot of plastic ball sockets going bad....thought the eks was mostly clutch....vinnie

That should make one think twice about being an early adopter, especially for a big ticket item.
