I think it is TB993TT's Datsun tuner http://www.rs-tuning.de
Clicking that link can cost a fortune..

I think your right, the owner mentioned they put a long 5th & 6th gear on those runs.

As to high speed stability ..I've only just started getting aqauinted with my 993TT in GT2 two wheel garb
and I'll be the first to say the 993 plarform tends to require quite a bit of suspension stiffening to lose that side to side wallow and untamed feeling..
On the other hand my stock out of the box 3.6 Turbo went 176 MPH with plenty room in the pedal
securely ,solid as a rock ...shall I say confidence inspiring!
I only hope I can approximate that feeling very soon... Bert

Yep, I have that RUF 6th gear! I'll never see the benefit of it. EDIT: ohne = without. So I don't have it.

I had Paul Faieta from Protosport set up my 993TT with an H&R Clubsport suspension, with their Protomotive-tuned motor they built, and in 5th gear up to 160mph at Watkins Glen on the back straight, I felt like like I could steer it with one finger, it felt so planted. Haven't pushed it on the roads anywhere to 200mph which it could easily reach in 6th gear-boy I wish we had an AB here in the States....

RUF guys,

I suspected as much. Not sure there was enough runway in the world that would have allowed me to see 204 mph, and more's the pity for it. But then, right now I'd much rather get to 170 mph in a hurry than to 204 mph ... eventually.

Yes, your Andial is an amazing car. When CJ Wilson's car was for sale here in Dallas, it was killing me. If I didn't have the Turbo R (and love it so much), I would have bought it in a heartbeat. You are very lucky to have Blackie!

At 264 kph (165 mph) the car feels like it moves around a lot, being easily unsettled by minor irregularities in the road surface. That being said, the car still responds to input like lining up a corner.

Here is a 264 kph run:

Here is a 257 kph run showing steering inputs approaching a 230 kph kink:

My 993tt has PSS9s, full Weissach exclusive Turbo sport suspension kit which was a $12K retrofit and includes specific bushings everywhere, roll bars etc.....

Having a decent suspension is a given and makes little difference to how this shape moves around at big speeds, they like to wander and if it is a windy day then don't think about going over 130mph unless you have a very wide road

There will surely be quite a few places in texas to allow you to stretch your Ruf's legs on a quiet sunday morning! Something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_U7V6IpFmA or somewhere along the route of the big bend open road race.

Very likely no where near 190. Perhaps only 180 or so. No comment regarding the responsibility of those speeds on public roads.

I believe the Andial can have the best of both worlds, quick 3rd to 4th... and my changing of the 5th and 6th gear from Ruf will have no trouble seeing 200+mph.

We see in after Nov

Err, that was my point Adam. Stock gearing in a turboR, which is what I was talking about not an Andial, will not get you there ... or at least I don't think it will. Actually I doubt you could get there in an Andial with stock gearing, but then I don't know that either, nor is it my concern any more.

I suppose if one was that keen to hit the double ton they could swap the original 285/30/18 tires to a 285/35/18, and make the front correspondingly taller or just pull the front drive shaft, that would give a theoretical max of 208.7mph assuming a 7k redline.

What do the Ruf and Andial cars redline at?

Does anyone know the ratios of the taller Ruf 6th gear? google failed me on that.
