Default Slave replacement Update

I have removed my salve cylinder and am trying to install my new one, but the pressure required to seat it onto the two mounting holes seems impossible to allow me to install the nuts onto the mounting threads. The actuator plunger thingie is so stiff that I cant figure out how to get it into place. What dumb thing did I do?

I've done this twice and experienced the same difficulty both times. I ended up wedging appropriate sized items between the slave and the body forward of the slave to hold it in position while I threaded on the fasteners. Be careful not to **** the actuator rod inside the bell housing or you'll have to take it apart and start over.

That thing was terrible. I had to do the unthinkable and let my father try. He got it in with no where near as much pressure and I had a great time mounting the two nuts onto the threads.

Trick is to not push 100% straight on. Just a little sideways angle will do wonders. Even when on the studs, try to push to one stud side, then other. Always works for me.
