I've just bought a 993 Turbo and have read all the scary SAI stuff. I know the turbos are less prone to develop problems, but it is still possible. The non-turbos are urged to replace their check valve occasionally. The turbos use a combination check/shut off valve. Would it make sense to replace this, or at least take it off and inspect it once in a while?
I searched but couldn't find recommendations specifically for the turbo, so thanks for any advice.

Congrats on the Turbo. Great color!
One thing I've done to maybe help protect against any SAI issues in my Turbo, is to use a yearly dose of Techron Fuel System Cleaner prior to the year's end oil change before winter hibernation. Don't know if it helps against the SAI but I feel better doing it. Like you said, the SAI issues is not a prevalent on our Turbos.
