For those that have either, Fabspeed bypass or FD.
Either too loud or not loud enough for you?
Seems the Fister might be too quiet & Fabspeed a tick too much.
Hard to tell from their videos/sound clips.
Dont want to drone out music in the cabin when cruising, but want to hear exotic throaty when on it.
TIA.

I have owned both the Fister Stage 2 and Stage 3, currently running the 3.
In my opinion, nothing sounds as sweet as Stage 3's. I was very worried about my snobby neighborhood.
They are just the right mix of deep throaty through each gear peaking at ~4500. I get thumbs up from
the people riding their bikes, at stop lights, and other cars on the street. Always a head turner, never
disappointed.
I also installed a drilled out airbox to let the sounds into the cabin a bit more.
Plus, the guys (Darin and Mark) are just top notch to deal with.

I have the FabSpeed bypass. Sounds great, very pleased! My neighborhood speed limit is 25 MPH, so it's fine. On the way out I am doing the proper warm up, and on the way home I am cooling down the turbos. No complaints. Plus, the radios in our Turbos suck, and I listen to the engine, exhaust, and air coming into the sunroof!

I'd recommend the fister mufflers and their sport cats.
you'll get a bit of extra throatiness without a ton of extra noise.
I have sport cats and muffler bypasses, and its pretty loud when its cold and when you're on it. At highway speeds its not bad.
I listen to the radio all the time and with the windows up, the exhaust sound isn't overpowering. That said, I think the bypasses may be a touch loud for you.

I had the bypasses and it wasn't the level of sound, but the resonance below 3000 rpm that finally made me decide to go with the Fisters. They still make a nice sound and NO resonance. Way louder than stock.

Very different
Bypass pipes sound like an old ChrisCraft boat on start-up and changes when the car warms up a bit. Very loud outside of the car. Inside, resonance between 2500-3000 rpm and then quiets down.
Fisters - loud but not very loud outside car. Inside, just a nice level of sound to let you know you are in a sports car
Stock - like a library!

I'll add my very unsubstantiated opinion. FD Motorsports is a first rate shop run by two of the nicest, most reputable guys in the biz. That said, I have NOT heard their turbo exhaust. On Rufus, I have the Ruf sport cats. I had the FS bypasses, and it was a bit loud (but I kinda liked it). When I changed to the center exhaust (still no mufflers), the exhaust note was dramatically improved, and the "Chris Craft" effect was gone. Its still very distinctive (ie... loud), but I think its the best turbo exhaust sound I've heard. Bypasses have the advantage of less weight and keep the exhaust heat away from the turbo units.

The resonance of the FB bypass bothered me as well; other than that, they sounded just fine. However, it seems that people's sensitivity to the resonance varies quite a bit, so, it is hard to know beforehand.
