Default Fun with Don+ZR1 at Thunderhill

Our lost brother (911/Q45 Don) had his purdy ZR1 at Thunderhill and we had a chance to drag race a bit down the straights; that ZR1 has got some nice pulling power! The ZR1 is on street tires while I'm on NT01's; still, the grip was impressive.

Pete,

I'm assuming the video was shot in Don's ZR1, with Don driving. I didn't see your car on the track. Don certainly doesn't press that car... always driving at 9/10s. Very smooth driver.

It's me in my 993TT following Don's ZR1. I mainly want to show how the ZR1 pulls away from my 550HP Turbo on the straights.

Thanks for the clarification... your relocated wipers had me fooled. Then you are very smooth, and this video is even more fun to watch.

damn that's some fast driving! I highly doubt that the yellow RX7 saw your courtesy wave as you flew past!

Looks like you've been giving that UMW 3.6 quite the work out, how are you liking it?

Here is another video from the following session that ends in a bit of a pucker factor for both me and the Miata driver... (watch in HD and pay close attention to the black dot ahead after I pass the black Miata).

Pucker! You're not kidding. I bet a lot of crap was stuck to your tires after that sharp right turn detour.

nice to see you're really putting the AWD to use.
