Default Question about installing a valve lifter

I understand you have to let the new hydraulic lifters soak in oil for about 24 hours but my question in how far do i shove in the new lifter in the rocker ? I don't want to damage the new lifters by either pushing them in to far or not far enough ...thanks in advance for your advice

I just figured it out...i carefully used a Tongue and Grove Plier set ( padded as to not damage the lifter)to gently push the new lifters into the grove deep inside the rocker

Warm up the rocker arms in a oven. 175 F

Then push the lifter in by hand.
