Default Winter Projects: 2010-2011

So what are your winter projects for your cars?

My 78k mile junkbox is getting the following:

plug and coil wires
FR6-LDC plugs
Interstate MTP-91 battery
Injector cleaning
some powersteering troubleshooting (StrekStrekStrekStreking pool of pentosin and groaning)
and some walrod bushings.

I'll probably want to burn the thing to the ground when its done, but I just want it all sorted. I think the wires are original

What are you guys up to (and those that only have to do mods can STFU lol)

Mine just received it's winter project, new Moton suspension. Now I need to fine tune the setup.

It is also getting it's annual, post track season checkup. Oh, and it's annual detail.

I've been a big believer in the AWD for track driving so am going to first tune the suspension to keep all four wheels planted!

Wires, plugs. rotor arm, cap, diverter valves, AFM, (see my other thread for skinned knuckles) and H&R coilovers to replace Techart springs and very very very dead standard shocks.

Mark.

Oil change, detail, and drive it a lot. That is all that I plan for it.

I'm removing them and having them sent to

Witch Hunter Performance

http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorserv1.php4

That describes the process. Place is well regarded on here.

Only costs about $20 per injector, so I feel its worth it.

QC: are you putting in the new battery now and then parking till spring? I hope you have access to a battery tender. If not, even a new battery will go dead within a month or two in your 993.

I'm moving shortly, and once all this stuff is done, I intend to drive the car during the winter.

I'm not a "storage" type of guy.

Going in for annual service tomorrow, so start with oil change and see what else needs attention, but has been running great this year. Only extra so far is the bulb behind the on-board computer display which is on the fritz.

I'm halfway through a turbo swap, k16 to K24. I've just removed the cats and can see the K16 exhaust turbines. i have to say Basal Skulls DIY write up is superb. I am working in a pretty cramp space but its doable.

Will let you guys know when i'm done.

Taj.
