Default Help installing new pedals

I am installing FVD alum pedals... I have the dead, clutch and brake done.. The gas pedal is plastic so they give you screws with washers and bolts... Seems like a tough job to get behind the lower part of the pedal with it connected. Is there an easy way to disconnect the gas pedal itself?

If not I will just take it to my mech....

Thanks in advance..

Don't worry about disconnecting the gas pedal ... just drill through the plastic and then thread the bolt through the pedal and into the bolt on the back.

This process should take 5 minutes max including time to fetch a beer and double check you pedal alignment...

It's just a press fit into a plastic socket - put a vice grip on the rod and pull the top of the gas pedal. A little heat from a heat gun or hair drier will help - especially when pushing it back on.

I have an easier solution.

As mentioned, the gas pedal sits on a threaded rod.

Use a little paint to mark where the lock nut on the threaded rod sits.
Then use a (iirc) 7mm open ended to loosen the lock nut, and then just unthread the top of the pedal.
