Ignition Light- Bulb Burnt Out?
From the recent post about the differences between the '96 and '97 Turbos, I learned that I have an ignition light.
I always wondered what the little black rubber grommet was for when I was conditioning the leather dash and waxing the carbon fiber. Only problem is, the bulb must be burnt out because it does not illuminate.
When should it light? When the doors open? When the headlights are on?
Is the bulb serviceable with out taking the dash apart? How? Where do I get a new bulb?
Thanks.

I don't have one, but i figure it lights up when you open the doors. I wouldn't think it would be on when the headlights are on, as that might be distracting.
I'd say gently pry the grommet off the dash, and the bulb will be reachable.
bulb should cross to a sylvania part number at any parts store, or you could just grab one at the dealer for a few bucks.
