maybe i can share some light. I offer 43k and seller said yes and after PPI done which include leak down and compression test, this 993 needs alot of work. Problems as follow, RMS leak,#6 cylinder leak(may need top end and thts not cheap),all tools are missing (pump, tool kit and spare),clutch is very weak, lots of rock chips, driver door stop is broken and a bunch of other little things. I wouldnt pay more than 32k for it w/all these issues. Now it has over 84k miles.

$4500 for a clutch? My car had a clutch job with all new parts for $2700. Also, with the engine out for a top end job, the rear main seal and the clutch labor is very little. $10k for everything. Regarding missing tools, I doubt the buyer of the car is going to show it. With those miles, it is a driver and who cares about missing tools and a spare that will never be used. If the car can be picked up in the mid 30's, you can be into a mid 40s driver with a fresh engine and clutch.

I agree. And with the interior being white I would think changing it to black with Suflex (?) would net rather good results. Could be a fun project car at the right price.

At least it is two-tone with a black steering wheel and carpet. I could almost live with that. I think that, even with the issues, 40k is fair. You are sort of double-penalizing the mileage if you put it at 32k because it is high miles AND has issues that you sort of expect at high miles. If you can get it all freshedn up and be under 50k, I think that is a fair deal.

That car needs a ton of work, that we know of...add another 5-10k for 'extras' (at least). This car would be a money pit I'm afraid, impossible to ever get your initial investment back in resale even after fixing everything.
I would look at it as a good basis for a track car and offer accordingly.
