Default Anyone running 12" rear wheels?

Had a set of 997.1 GT3 (narrowbody, NOT RS) wheels drop in my lap last week. 19X12, 68mm offset. Currently installed tire is the stock 305 Michelin. Over on the regular 993 board no one has come forward to claim they've fit anything that wide. Anyone here? This is for the C4S, if that's not clear.

(Spacers and longer studs are no big deal. I've done it on both RSAs to accommodate 275 tires and the myriad of oddball wheels in inventory.)

I'm running 18x 12 335 tires and 18 x 10.5 265 tires on Andie now.

A little "finagling" was required as Jochen said.

Yeah, saw your other thread. Nice! And while THAT (on a budget scale) may happen to the yellow car, with the appropriate forced induction engine, ain't gonna happen on a driver C4S.

Hi Marc,

Can you post a pic of your wheels with the 315s on the 12"?

I'm in the same boat as the OP. not sure if I should go with 305 or 315 on 12".. because of the fitment concern.

thanks

On a stock fender car you can fit a 12" & 315/30 just fine with no rubbing. I ran that setup for years before the operation

Guys,

If you have run 12" wheels in the rear with 305 or 315 tires, please provide the the offset of the wheels; that is THE CRITICAL piece of information. Without it, saying "it works fine" is not particularly useful to the OP. The other critical bit of info needed is the camber.

I believe someone once posted that they ran Forgeline ZX3R 12x18 with a +50mm offset. I think he ran 305s; I can't remember for sure.

So, the OP should be good with an 18mm spacer.

But, I have not personally done this so someone that has done it needs to confirm this.

Sure you want a 19"?

Agree that without offset, you cannot make a call as to will THAT rim fit.
