Emergency Tools/Replacement Parts
Anyone have a list handy? I tried to search, but couldn't find the right key words. I am looking for the anti-stranded stuff like spare DME.

list of service centres along route if you`re travelling,
Seems like Goggle, location, and keyword search has that for free.
And then there is the Winter portion of such a Kit if you drive in all seasons.

Just remember a couple more items:
A couple pair of disposable rubber gloves and a large, sturdy, trash bag can always come in handy too (can be used as a tarp, tranport a flat tire, rain coat).

Good ideas... I also carry 1 qt 20W-50 and paper funnel, red, white and blue fuses, a black and red relay, air pump/compressor and a can of Fix-A-Flat. My spare is 32 years old, never used and don't know if it even holds air!

OK guys, time to carry this thread a bit more. In a few days I'll be driving my TT on my first long trip (only 350 miles each way, though) to see an old college buddy. I am the furthest thing from a mechanic so my cell phone and AAA card will be my "back-up plan". Knowing I probably couldn't fix even the small problems is there anything else I should consider bringing on the trip that could help w/ roadside problems? Be kind

I agree with minimal items for short trips. But you should always carry a spare Alternator belt and a DME relay. Not that either of those items is hard to come by, but late at night or on a weekend they are impossible to find. Especially if you are in a remote area.
My dad recently got stuck in Crested Butte CO for several days when his alt belt broke on a Friday night. Dealer in Denver couldnt ship til the following Monday. Fedex lost it. Replacement didn't arrive until Wednesday. That was a long delay for a minor issue. He had flexible plans, so it wasn't a big deal.

dme is about $40, alternator belt is like $20
sunset imports and parts.com have porsche brand parts for cheap.
You can get the relay basically anywhere, but get only a porsche brand belt.
