Just got this replacement rotors from Martin @ Girodisc for my 993tt. They had done measurement on my stock rotor a couple of months ago and today I got the the replacement rotors.

My old stock rotor weighs 20.4 lb while this new one weighs 17.8 lb each, probably even lighter had I cross drilled them

 

Hmmm... I didn't know Girodisc could do rotors for the 993TT. That's good to know. Can they do the rears too? How much were the fronts if you don't mind my asking?

These pair, I paid cost but normally they run $1000-1100/pair, at least that's how much I paid for the rear rotor replacement of my MB SL63

Thanks Pram! Please post your impressions once you get them on. They look like they'd be great. What pads do you think you'll run? I just replaced mine with oem rotors and tried to use Pagid pads. Squealed like a pig but stop incredibly well. Ended up going back to the regular oem pads which aren't quit as good but still decent.

 

Would be interesting to compare these to the DBA 5000 rotors which are around $1300 set.

I have to say though, at these prices I'd start looking into the Brembo big brakes...

 

the factory cross drilled rotors are ~600/set, but the drilled rotors don't last half as long & crack. 1g isnt that bad of a deal. Maybe a group buy gets that cost down. I would certainly make the switch.

 

Factory fronts are $450/set.
