Is there also an accumulator for the ABS? my brake pedal sometimes vibrates when I brake (even gently). It feels like ABS is trying to store pressure.
Clutch Slave Cylinder part # 993 116 237 52

Clutch Pressure Accumulator part # 993 355 109 03

I carry both items if anyone needs one..I'll give you the "RL discount"

What if we don't drive the car for a few days or a week? Will the clutch get "hard" again? Do we have the same clutch systems as the n/a 993 guys & gals?

Steve, I am ashamed of you.
Yeah, but the slave is like $350 and the accum. is like $90.

I'd say the accumulator is a "while you're in there" part for the slave, but not the other way around. The slave cylinder is a good bit more involved than just a simple accumulator R&R.

The accumulator holds pressure after the car is shut off. It may slowly bleed off the pressure after a period of time, but it can't gain more pressure without the car running again. The turbo has a unique power assist clutch that is not shared by any other 993.

No HTwo O,

With a proper accumulator, the clutch can be activated many times after the engine is off. It will get hard only after many depressions. Then, the next time the engine is started, the accumulator is recharged, and all is good again. The Turbo uses a power clutch assist that is NOT used by the NA cars. That must be the reason the factory designed a fiendishly complex slave cylinder for our cars.

I agree with you Charlie, except that once one has gone the other seems to be not far behind.

List price for the slave is in the $880 range. You can get it at parts.com or sunset for about $700.
Accumulator is about $108 at these sources.

Is the accumulator a relatively simple DIY?
The picture posted here made it look easy, but then I'm not taking my engine out!
What needs to be moved out of the way?
Will I bleed much from my knuckles?

accumulator seems to be fairly easy to reach with small hands. Sits above the transmission. The shape makes it difficult to remove without an oil filter style wrench.

I'd say easy in concept, moderately difficult in practice.
