Default Cayanne owners? I thinkin

Anyone here own a Cayenne? I am thinking about selling our Denali and getting a Cayenne, (turbo of course?) but I yet to drive one. Any one here who owns a 993 turbo and a Cayenne care to comment on the merit of this vehicle?

I have a 2006 turbo and love it, it is my daily driver. Really quick and not bad considering the weight in the corners. Very comfortable, perfectly complements the 993tt! Reliability has not been an issue with mine so far, you can read about some issues these have had on the Cayenne forum.

This may be blasphemy, but save yourself a ton of money by buying the VW Touareg. Same car. We test drove both and while the Porsche definitely feels tighter and slightly more powerful - not worth the massive premium over the VW version. Plus you get all maintenance covered for something like 4 years w/ VW.

I can't speak to the current Cayenne but we have an '06 S that we like a lot.
Comfy and plenty of power.

There are some excellent bargains on the used market but I'd be sure to get something still under warranty or buy an aftermarket warranty. My .02c

I have an '06 Cayenne Turbo S. I love it. It's my daily driver and I have just under 80,000 miles on it. Plenty fast, too. Passes everything except a gas station!

Don't own, but I've driven. Had several Jeep SUV. now have Chevy Traverse which is a great hauler and gets good MPG. I would have bought the Cayenne, but the mileage figures are just too poor for the amount of driving I do. I have driven the S and turbo and the Toureg. Loved them all. The Cayenne handles well for a large SUV, much better than the Toureg, IMHO. Plus the Cayenne performance outshines the Toureg.

Been thinking about getting a Cayenne as well. Not even sure where to start. Prices have come way down obviously. Not sure I'd need the turbo...probably just the 'S'. Any thoughts on this board would be good.

There are probably some great deals to be had on new Cayennes, we got our 08 GTS at the end of the year with a steep discount.

08 CTT with the electronic sway bars/anti-roll. The beast is an awesome kampfwagen, but sucks down gas like there is a hole in the tank. Single digits in the city and cruising on the highway north of 80mph yields maybe 11 mpg. It is the anti-Prius and I love it

I might add that I get 19mpg with NO highway driving. Not bad at all for a V10.
