I'm curious as well in the pricing.

Also curious why it's not something to be posted?

Thanks

Been barraged with PM's for pricing. I didn't post what I was quoted, primarily because I felt everyone who was serious should reach out to Kevin and Todd directly to figure out what was right for them. Didn't want anyone to be biased for whatever reason based on any quote I post.

That being said, see this post from a few years back re: Kevin's Stage 1 package - https://rennlist.com/forums/993-turb...ogramming.html. It's not far off from what I was quoted.

Todd doesn't necessarily has a kit or package, he quoted me components separately. So depending on what you want, could be more or less than other tuners' packages.

Again, encourage folks to reach out to these guys directly. I only spent a brief amount of time on the phone with each but they were very helpful and I'm pretty sure its impossible to go wrong with either.

Both Kevin and Todd are gentlemen. I ended up going with the Protomotive setup because I liked the EBC setup, though there are certainly arguments on both sides of that, it was just the route I decided to go. I would highly recommend though using Kevin for your CATs no matter what. I bought a new set and really had to wrestle with them. The core/restuff is the way to go.

I've run the UMW stage 2 setup and now have k24/garrett hybrids w/ a proto tune.
The k16/16g w/ proto tune is the obvious bang for buck choice.
If you want torque down low Tial alpha gt28's that bolt right in are the ticket for around $5K and w/ a proto tune imho is the hot setup. I'm actually thinking of switching to them.
Maybe skip the sport cats. Dieter at Andial said they kept the stock cats to improve torque even on their big HP setups.

I'm having a hard time understanding how any back pressure is a good thing with a turbo...

I'm with Pete. How is backpressure good for turbo motors? Especially air/oil-cooled ones that struggle with cooling?

I believe there is a need for some back pressure on the exhaust turbine to prevent it from surging. The ? is how much BP to properly balance the turbocharger system.

I have no cats and have an EBC to control the boost...It runs fine with NO surging...I saw a Huge increase in power after removing the cats...

With all the inquiries on Todd's set up, perhaps there may be enough interest for a group buy?
