Hey Ronnie: Yes, I should be getting her in a couple of weeks. I spoke with the shipping company and my mechanic yesterday. The Turbo S front chin spoiler has arrived from Ruf in Texas. (Apparently, I got the last one in the U.S. - too lucky.) The spoiler gets painted on Monday and the clear film guard will be applied the following day. BTW Have you decided to lower yours? I think your idea of a 993TT get together with the local boys sounds first rate. If it goes well, we could drive together a few times in the nice weather.

Need to have Danny see if a lowered car will do my driveway without scraping........if this works OK I'll go the PSS10 route when I get sick of the stock stuff or it fails. I've had the Z out and given the roads here I think we should all go Dakar Rally height!!

Hey Ronnie: You can check out a front protection bar to give you some added piece of mind. Carnewal makes one out of stainless steel which is described on their site. Ruf has one in aluminum and I think Danny knows where you might be able to get here in Ontario. I am a big fan of Ruf parts so I called Mark Plummer to get me one of theirs. I'll call you as soon as the good doctor delivers the new baby. :-)

Bergamasco, I was told the the Carnewal FPB does not help on a 993 Turbo with the Turbo S front chin spoiler. You may want to check on this before you proceed further.
I was told the chin spoiler sits lower than the FPB, rendering it useless.

I was unaware of the mismatch which exists between the Carnewal product and the Turbo S chin spoiler. I have however purchased the one from Ruf, so I think I should be good to go.

I just found the part numbers in my "Tequipment 911" booklette for 1995-1998. They list the Twin Tail Pipes as (left) 993 111 981 03 and (right) 993 111 982 03. They are not black like on hte TTS. These are chrome-plated stainless steel. Don't know the pricing. FYI.

Hey Guys - no pics yet but I am happy to say that the car has been picked up by Intercity and is now officially on its way. Patience is a virtue, right? I expect to have the car in a few days. I will keep you posted.

sorry, Danny - I wasn't there. I do hope to have plenty of the car being unloaded at the border as well as few pics of friends toasting the arrival of the new baby once I get her home. Have you driven your turbo much lately?

Sorry to hijack your thread but as an aside, I'm looking forward to getting mine back. She's been at Autowerks for the last while. Had the 60k mile full service done including plugs. While they were in there, I had a leakdown done. Haven't heard the numbers yet but Courtney says they were pretty good. I also replaced all the valve covers and am now contemplating suspension upgrade. Thinking PSS10. What do you guys think?

PSS10 is the way to go from everyone I have talked to about it. I would certainly do it on mine if it didn't already have HSR springs and coil overs. We'll have to have a 993 Turbo GTG once you've got the work done on yours and once I am finished with the importation and licensing of mine. Best of luck in the meantime.

Agreed on the GTG. If I don't do the suspension I'll have her back next week. Otherwise, probably the week after.
