How many times can I say I love this site! Just searched cosmoline and, to my surprise, the stuff that I was convinced was old oil, is in fact, cosmoline (thanks to those of you who have posted pics in the past). Actually I feel a little better now, knowing that the PO's were not the slobs that they appeared to be. Back to cleaning.

Yep, as you probably saw, lots of people try to take the cosmoline stuff off thinking/mistaking it for oil/dirt!
