Default Leak from Chain Housing?

Ok, so I'm midway through a PPI on the car I'm looking at.

The well respected shop that is doing the PPI stated that the actual seal from the block to the chain housing is leaking (i.e. not the chain housing cover). They say its not a "weep" but rather a drip.

Anybody experienced this before?

I see weeping on most 993's, turbo or NA but rarely dripping from that junction.

Thanks Chris,
understood and the owner of the car had similar views. May be a situation of a shop expecting perfection or a misunderstanding from tech to shop owner and vice versa. Owner of the shop is calling me back to verify.
