The suspension was done by the previous owner in Colorado and was set up for AutoX. Its the usual mix of GT2, RS, and PSS9 bits which makes these cars handle remarkably well.
The two machines are so different in feel that it is hard to compare. The Ferrari is much more adjustable and I feel very safe playiing with it near the limit on an open (deserted) road. The 993 feels great at 8/10th on the road and nervous beyond that but is profound on the track where braking poitns and a racing line are well defined.
In terms of handling, edge to Ferrari. In terms of outright grip and speed, edge to 993. Now, which one do I feel like today......

Great write up, I enjoyed reading it.
Just the other day I was at a dealer looking at a 993tt and sitting right next to it was an F355 spyder.
What struck me first is how much smaller of a car the 993 is. Very compact looking sitting next to the 355.
The next thing I noticed (which may have just been my perception) is the Porsche seemed to be better build quality in terms of the body work and interior fitment/materials.
I will agree that the 355 has got to be one of the best sounding cars ever which had me strongly considering one but for some reason I still keep getting pulled towards the 993.
