I would not consider trans rebuild a negative but a positive. Having been a wrench driver in an earlier life, among many other parts I have spare '97 mainshaft and 2nd gear just in case. However, Hans at RUF long ago told me to sell the high dollar parts I have collected for what I consider to be a 'keeper'. After six years, I am beginning to think I should follow his advice...

You can send those wheels back to HRE and have them refinished. IIRC they charge about $600 per wheel.

No mention of an aftermarket intercooler or oil cooler. Would 515 hp even be possible with a stock intercooler?

Yes mine are black, but what I meant to say is that they are the same wheels 19" HRE 542s. And judging from the pics looks like the same offset, widths, etc... You are right the polished chrome look is too blingy

Not a problem, didn't think you were. You either like em or don't it's all subjective. I think the 542s work well with these cars, if you have the right offsets....and of course color combo. The all chrome or polished look is a bit too much, but all the new owner needs to do is repaint the centers. He does have 315s on the rears, something Im gonna upgrade to when I replace the tires

Mike your wheels are gorgeous. you have great taste. I have 295s on the back and for street I don't think the 315s will improve anything and possible could rub.
looks like a smoking deal for the car listed here.

Wouldn't need a different intercooler, but would definitely need a secondary oil cooler. That car may have one.

This car is about 5 min from my office. I've been giving it a look on the web for a while...

I might go over there this week and take a look in person. I'll bring my big sony camera if I can find it. (I just moved into a new house this weekend...)

I'll check back in the "Dealer" has a mixed rep locally...

Karl, the car is NOT at the dealership in Naperville. This is a consignment car. The owner has it at his home, located somewhere near Elgin IIRC.
