Does back end ever spin on your 993 TT?
just got my TT 3 months ago so I haven't really had the abililty to take it out on curvy roads aggressively. Today I punched it HARD when entering the freeway from a curvy onramp. I swear I felt the back end "slide" a little. I thought AWD kept the car from sliding. Any thoughts? Thx.

that happens when one rear wheel is spinning faster than another causing the car to rotate. Fix for this is a rebuilt or upgraded LSD. The VC awd in these cars are not going to help with snap oversteer either so you can't count on that to save ya
If its anything that makes you uncomfortable don't get on the gas when cold or rainy etc

Always freaks me out when I break all 4 tires loose on acceleration. So much fun to have that much power.
Yep, you can definitely get that rear end to come around if you aren't careful.

This is of course assuming the VC is still healthy, that in addition to the front doesnt get much drive until some heat is generated in the VC, so naturally there is a bit of delay.

I love when all four go up in smoke...a controled slide is the best way to take a curve...I love the amount of power I have. When I had the Bridgstone tires it was like driving on ice, you cant give me those tires for free...

When I first got Frank (my first 993TT) I got me immediately to a Drivers Ed. Part of the day was the skid pad. I had heard all the Porsche horror stories and expected to be looping the car like the Red Baron. (The ex owner of the car (SundayDriver on Rennlist) laughed and said that it would be unlikely I could spin the car at all.) He was right. It took a complete suspension re-alignment to dial out all the understeer and 3 DEs before I managed to spin the car on the skidpad.
That being said, yes of course these cars can spin. If you have not already done so, see if you can get some seat time with a good instructor so that you can be comfortable with controlling it when it happens.
Oh and it's A LOT OF FUN! Congrats on the new car.
