Default Quaker State 20w-50

Hi.
Just wondering if anybody use this motor-oil in a 993 Turbo ?
Belive it`s a nice oil for aircooled Porsches, but is it recomended for turbo-engines to ?
(Drive my car only in the summer, never below 0 Celsius)

Quaker State Performance Mineral Racing 20w-50 API:SL/CF ACEA:A3/B3/B4

Thanks.

Hi Kurt, I believe the consensus among many turbo owners is to use synthetic or a blend of synthetics oils for turbo engines. The non synthetic oils just coke the very hot turbines and will get you into lubrication trouble very fast. Stick with a quality synthetic oil and leave the non synthetics for non turbo engines.

No offense intended, but I wouldn't put Quaker State in my lawn mower

Stick with Mobil 1.

Thanks for your input.

Have not used a synthetic oil at all in my car and the previus owner didn`t either.
Done lots of trackdays and no issues so far. Last 9 years the car have been fillled with Valvoline 15W-40 mineral oil. Just some problems with that famous oil filter....
Maybe I have been lucky or maybe it just work with this Valvoline mineral oil !

Haven`t heard anything bad about the Quaker State oil, but thats me.

Sorry guys, have not been driving on mineral-oil at all, of course it`s a semi-synthetic oil and nothing else !
Do not know where I get that from..
