Dave,

Not sure what stage ECU you are running but I am sure you will find some extra fuel to burn on the over run. Just great for entering onto freeways at night. People seem to leave you room to merge.

My 530hp GIAC chip, K24's and a custom after turbo exhaust gets me the afterburn you see in the photo. I have 100 cell ceramic cats and resonators all attached by 2.5" tubing instead of 2.25". Every shift is a loud "pop" and another $.50 of gas goes out the back on fire.

Rick

I don't think I'm running that rich. I have K24's with AWE straight pipes (no cats) and Manthey Racing 490 hp ecu.

a "safe" high output ecu program will give you some nice flames; no need for straight pipes

By safe I think he means "rich". Heavier Fuel to air ratio, this does help with flames, however, it is unlikely that you'll be pushing flames through stock cats.

I also love the weight savings of the straight pipes. Stock cats and muffs hanging behind the motor is a lot of weight in the wrong place on these cars.

Rich tune with cats and mufflers and a very long exhaust compared to a 993TT

This destroyed the cats...
