-ditto-

The bolt on fenders look like they came from Auto Zone.

LOL, same exact thing happened to me at Mid-OH last year, then almost again at RA last month. We need to add to pre-flight checklist: "Tighten tail light screws." Maybe use loctite?

^^ Same here. Mine popped loose twice at Goodwood, but always the left hand side. Never had a problem with the right one.

funny re the comments about the bolt on fenders. they are an integral part of the iconic 993GT2 look. i think they look great. spartan lets hear about those lap times and top speed down the front straight.

haha well the bolts are a love it or hate it type of look and not everyone likes it. Have to say I've never had anyone say anything negative after they saw it in person

This was my first time at RA and was only doing 2:28-29's when traffic allowed. I didn't use an inch of those rumble strips though which caused me to cut my track out by as much as a car length in some spots (1 & 5 & canada come to mind). I think it would be down in the mid 20's otherwise.

Speed down front straight was 170-175 going into 1.

170 to 175 is cookin! Mid 20's for sure, probably even lower. I think my top speed down the front was around 155 and my fastest time of the race weekend was 2.293 in qualifying for J class. I bet you can get down in the low 2.20's. I know its hard in a non race environment though. DE's can be challenging with traffic and non point bye's etc. I didnt see you at the club race de. I knew you were trying to come up but I heard it sold out and closed down registration. Interesting considering I heard we were down around 40 cars in the club races. I suppose track days are basically over now for the rest of the year. At least up here anyway.

I went with the audi club the weekend before the pca event. Tried to get in for the DE but is was full

A group of us are doing one of those open lapping days at gingerman on oct 25th if you can make it. Its only $150 for unlimited track time, should be a fun day to end the season

My last event of the year will be down in Texas with the Patrick Long training that Glen Gatlin is organizing. Should be fun and humbling.

Josh - great pics! Car really looks great out on track. I can't believe you were hitting 170+ on the straights. I guess the extra power, less weight, gears makes the difference over Darren's slow, record holding J stock car. I agree, that low 20s probably could happen. Next year....

I did. It's gotta be close, either way. A .29 is smokin for a J car.
