Default Pre-cat O2 sensor removal

Hi,

having a permanent light surge at constant speed on my 96 TT and having changed MAF, spark plugs and wires and cleaned the ISV I wanted to change the O2 sensors now. Question : do I really have to drop the rear bumper or can the R&R be done w/o this ?

Many thanks

Alain

Taking off the bumber is not bad. It will give you more room to work, and while it's off you can do a nice clean.

Might be worth checking the throttle position sensor to ensure it's giving out sensible values.

Hi and thank you for the replies !
The bumper was off just 2 months ago for respray, so I really would appreciate if I could tackle this w/o removing it again.
As for the TPS, I checked it with the System Tester and found it to be ok !

Thanks

Alain
