Default Diagnosis please.

My car has stalled like 4 time in last month in neutral as i'm braking. It even happend on the freeway! I'm able to start it up with no problem. i have no other issues.

The car idles fine. Just passed 60k miles. I'm taking it in for 60k tune.
Is there anything i should change out? o2 sensors?

Any help is appreciated.

tks,

Ray

Dirty idle stabilization valve? You hear about this problem more frquently with the NA cars, but perhaps the Turbos also have this valve and this problem?
O2 sensors will throw a CEL.

The Turbos do have the ISV (idle stabilization valve). It's easy to get to once you take the intercooler off (very easy to do). I don't know if that would be the cause of your symptoms, though.

Default idle stumble

Just my $.02 but I would check in this order:

Check obd port for a fault code.
Check/clean isv. you can unplug the isv and see if the idle picks up or dies, you can also hear it hum/buzz when it's working. Pretty easy to clean, well documented on most of the boards
Swap maf see it that cures it before buying one.
Lastly, it may be a head temp sensor gone bad. They're cheap but a major PITA to get at $$. When mine went bad, the symptoms were different, the idle would surge and bounce around, car would run really rich and stall. But if yours is going south it may be the source of your problem.

Tks sfbanchs and kojo911,

My MAF was changed about 2 yrs ago, so i'll try the ISV cleaning with tune up for now.

How many hours would my dealer charge for head temp sensor exchange??

TIA

Default head temp

There has to be an easy way to check the hts, unfortunately I don't know how. Not sure how many hours a mech would charge. Car on lift, probably remove turbo intake tube (from turbo to maf/airfilter), remove cam plug bung. swap HTS. Maybe 3/4 hours? My guess is a good Mech. can figure out if it is the HTS w/o swapping it, but again, I don't know.

sorry not much help.

cylinder head temp sensor can be read with an OBD scan tool - shows up as water temp

also CHT sensor can be tested with VOM -- I believe there is a table that corresponds resistance/amb temp.
