Josh,

I followed your build thread and have been dying to see some detailed photos of your car.
That thing is gorgeous!

- Are you using an upgraded IC or did you just strip the pant off the stock unit?

Thanks Paul! Its just the stock IC with the paint removed. The IC shroud has been modified though, the hole for the blower was welded in to keep air from escaping since I dont have a blower anymore.

The only reason I'll upgrade to a bigger IC is for flow (less restriction = less heat) since my IAT's will be controlled by water/meth injection. Keeps IAT's at or below delta to redline time and time again, its a beautiful thing For now I'm spending the $$ for an upgraded IC on a custom tune which is much more important imo

Not sure. I just called Todd at Protomotive and he's sending me a kit. Thus far everything he's done has been excellent so that's good enough for me. Sounds like you've done some research on this. What kit are you looking at?

I'm running an aquamist based kit from EPL. They run the kit on a ton of 996tt's & audi's which is where I've had experience with them before.

I've seen countless logs, oil reports, you name it on WI & this kit in particular and can tell you that it plane old works. The aquamist kit is nice due to the amount of fail safes incorporated and if you don't specifically tune for it you can still run the car normally without having to worry. With a meth mixture you can run 93 and your car will think its on 109 with IAT's that are at delta, for these motors its a no brainer to get some to keeps temps down. I'll still run 100 at the track though

You really need to come to gingerman on the 25th so I can go for a ride in your car

I wouldn't if you going to track them. They crack while your on track and cause you to go spinning off into the grass (ask me how I know).

Also if you order them they will cut the centers in a way where the stock lug bolts will not full fit over the stock studs unless you really bring this up early in the build process.

thanks for the heads up, my car is almost a dedicated track car so these are out! What has worked well for you? I need custom offsets/widths.
