Default What will $65K buy me???

I am just starting a search for my first 993 and I have been focussing on NA WB cars so far. This will be a Weekend fun car only and I have been looking at extremely low mile cars in the low $50's. I'm just wondering what I might get in a Turbo if I raise my budget and mileage tolerance a little? Thanks in advance for any replies!

Just guessing, but 35-40,000 miles? IMHO it would be well worth it. A 40,000 mile turbo is still a low mileage car by any other standard. Just make sure you do all the normal PPI stuff first and you should be ok.

There is one at RPM in Houston:

and one at Willhoit's in Springfield that would appear to be in your price range:

Here are a couple more in the vicinity of your price range. I would imagine there is some room to work on the price of the second one.:

Great! I think both dealers have a solid reputation. That said, a thorough PPI is an absolute must on these cars. Good Luck.

Thanks for posting the links TTKan. I'm seeing few on the eBay too. I kinda like the one from buxton motorsports. Anyone here knows more history/story about that car (since it seems somewhat modified)? Thanks.

buxton one doesn't look that modified just ecu (unless I missed it)wonder what program they used, and if they have the original so you could change chips.
wonder why it has 996 wheels and needed ac charge and hood struts?
looks like it may have.

Replacing hood struts and trunk struts is a very common repair. The struts go bad, and are not strong enough to hold up the weight.

Since we are on the topic of buying a new TT, how important is it that valve guides replacement job has been done? I was reading this ad, http://1997porsche993turbo.com/ and near the end of the page, he was talking about how it'll cost $10k to do the job and etc. Shall the new owners be worry about it and look for cars with such work already been done? Thanks guys.

Check out the Horizon Blue TT that RPM has for sale. The color is probably not for everyone, but the package is something special.

Why do the exhaust tips stick out so far on the Buxton car? That doesn't look right at all.
