Top Coat... anyone know this product?
I met a guy up here in Santa Cruz that distributes a product called Top Coat. He offered me a free clay and detail job. The stuff is GREAT. Plus I used it on my shower glass and my stainless appliances. Amazing. I have no affiliation.
Anybody know this stuff?

Steve!
This guy was in the spot next to Darin and I at the Part Heaven Swap/show. My black car was parked under the eucalyptus tree all day and it was dripping sap... not good. Stressful day for me. Many trips around the car frequently to get the stuff before it started to dry up and becomse super glue.
Anyhow, I talked to him a bit and we ended up doing one fender as a test. WOW! That stuff is slippery.
Now, I am a picky sucker when it comes to what I use on this car (it's black, after all) and I had been using another quick detailing spray over P21s wax. It works very well but I could feel the difference between the hood and the fender. That Top Coat stuff is definitely slicker. I bought the full stregth stuff and the quick detailing spray (Spritz, I think they call it). No silicone, of course.
And, I have noticed it has much less static cling than the quick detailer I was using. This is really good news since it doesn't pick up as much dust. And every spec shows on darker colors.
Now, he is definitely a salesman... and claims you can use it on everything, including your pets
I have also used it on SS but he claims it is great on leather... I dunno. I think I am drawing the line there
Rufus looks liquid. Nice photos!

Thanks for all the kind comments on Rufus.
This sounds weird, but I also used this stuff on my glass shower doors. Now I'm a bit ****, and always squeegee and wipe the glass after each shower. But there was still a bit of film that persisted and didn't come off. This stuff made the glass really clean. But here's the weird part... after this morning's shower, I used my squeegee as usual... it "glided" as if there was a coating on the glass. Duh. There is. Now I'm thinking about trying this on my hardwood floors. Its nuts.
I'm not quite sure about how you can order this stuff, but you can try this email for questions. This is the guy that detailed my car... he is a Porsche nitwit, and a distributor for Top Coat: Rod Graff thegraffhaus@aol.com
